Info Tool of the Week: OneSearch

Ever wish you could search more than one journal article database or search engine at once?  Well — you can with OneSearch!

OneSearch is a way for you to look for information in more than one subject area or database at the same time.  OneSearch provides citations and abstracts, as well as linking opportunities to full-text articles, electronic books, and records in VIRGO.  And you choose which resources you want it to search.
OneSearch offers both a simple search box and an Advanced Search, as well as Boolean and phrase searching.  You can choose from any of several dozen pre-set collections of databases or mix-and-match your own from a lengthy list.  OneSearch also allows you to sort and filter your results, refine your searches for more precision, and E-mail or save results to your favorite citation management tool, e.g. RefWorks.  In many case you may also click through to the online version of found articles.
