Digital Media Lab Short Courses

This is an announcement that the Digital Media Lab Short Courses are now available online.  The Digital Media Lab is located in Clemons Library.  These courses teach a variety of topics in digital media, including using animation tools, sound files, still images, video, and web page manipulation.  The courses are free to students, faculty and staff.  This is a great resource for all University personnel.  So if you are interested please sign up online at:

Managing the Research Data Life Cycle

Intro to LaTeX – Pt. 1

In the Brown Science and Engineering Library Electronic Classroom

This is the first part of a two part intro to LaTeX course for people who have no prior LaTeX experience but would like to be able to use LaTeX for writing academic/scientific papers. Over the course of both sessions we will cover the basic structure of a LaTeX document and important LaTeX features, how to typeset mathematical equations, how to format tables and include graphics, how to manage a bibliography, and a short introduction on how to create presentations.
